After the Children’s BJJ ( Brazilian jiu jitsu) class, Gracie 360’s Timothy Hart kicked off the Gracie Jiu Jitsu seminar for the teens and adults. He focused on solid basics and strict details for those basics techniques. He flowed into a great gameplan from the worst positions to more dominant, maintainable positions for jiu jitsu and jiu jitsu self defense. ( Solid, Basic Jiu jitsu and Jiu Jitsu self defense is which Timothy tells his students is the key to great jiu jitsu)

The Teens class is moving great, they are focused on progressing and soaking up as much knowledge as possible in each session! We had a great class today, like we do each week, the teens are quick learners and adapt easily to jiu jitsu with their wrestling background.

The afternoon classes are stacked with talent! The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Teen Team is on a mission when they come in! Hard work and dedication!!! These teens are ready to learn and train for the big shows!

The talent pool in the room is amazing! When live training is nearing you can feel the energy get higher in the room. The team is ready to showcase their techniques and help each other progress. I can’t say enough about these kids!, You have to get here and see them in action!

James starting teaching the night with the Gracie Basics Program ( a must for everyone!!) and what many were saying by the end of the class was a ” perfect class”. Afterwards, James continued instructing the more advanced Gracie Jiu Jitsu High Gear students, where he demonstrated how to properly keep an opponent from easily passing your defenses, then transitioning into a sweeping technique used to knock over the opponent, then dominate the opponent from a better leverage established position.

The Class was a complete hit! We cannot wait to see James again! A big Thanks also goes to Head Instructor, Timothy Hart, for promoting such a fun atmosphere for the students, keeping them laughing and reaching goals!

I seriously thought that nerves would be a factor, however, for some strange reason they never came into play…which I’m very happy that they didn’t.

I enjoyed competeing very much and look forward to many more BJJ and Judo competitions.
